Life without color

I got a great compliment on these photos.  I'll leave you to your own interpretation, but these two shots of an abandoned house in my hometown of Hickory got comments completely contrary to what I was expecting.  I was going for one emotion, and got an emotion almost 180 degrees opposite.  Feel free to leave your opinions in the comments, I'd love to hear from you all.

 

 

The Start of Something Special

Hello Everyone.  Figured I'd get everything started with one of the best visual inspirations I've ever felt.  The style you see below will become a photo series, with additions regularly.  I recently completed the initial two shoots in a photo series of abandoned houses.  Part of the inspiration for these shoots was inspired by the life surrounding the houses, after the life inside has moved on.  I'm calling the series "primary colors", the first five "primary colors" entries are below.
