About

I am Mr. Dagger.  I graduated several years ago with a degree in Chemistry and a minor in Math from Pennsylvania State University, Nittany Lion through and through.  The Chemistry degree I use on a regular basis working in the pharmaceutical industry, the Math degree I use only to show off.

My photography hobby started mid-way through high school when my supportive parents purchased me a "film" camera that I used sparingly, not because I didn't want to use it, but because I didn't have anything I defined as "worth taking a picture of", the money investment of developing photos hampered my style.

With one of my first "professional" pay checks out of college, I decided this hobby might be worth investing a bit more time in, and a digital “point and shoot” was the result.  From point of purchase to this very moment, the camera rarely leaves me side.  The cost of taking 1000's of photos, now significantly reduced, my unique vision of the world finally shines through.

This site was started for multiple reasons.  One reason is to get out of the house a bit more.  You'll see in the many months ahead that my picture taking interests lie in outdoor photography, with an emphasis on unique design and visual formulation.  I hope that most of my photos standout, displaying this style.  In addition, I hope that my photos allow me to explore this world that I only see in flashes at 65 miles per hour passing on the highway.

The other reason is to bring a bit of interest back to my surroundings.  I live in a part of central/western North Carolina that has suffered significant loss due to unemployment and job turnover.  The culture and history of this area is immense.  In addition, outdoor interests in western NC range from crop farming to hiking, from vineyards to fishing.  I hope through my photos a little bit of my home stands out to my readers.

I am honored you've taken the time out of your busy lives to visit this site and experience a vision of this beautiful world, through a lens no bigger than a fingerprint.

Enjoy!

Without Wax,
Mister Dagger
